Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate a broad range of operative cases.
• Maintain sterile technique, instrument counts, specimen handling, and room turnover; assist the surgical team and anesthesia as needed.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage equipment and devices, and communicate patient needs and safety concerns to the team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, residents, and ancillary staff to optimize workflow and patient outcomes; participate in safety and quality initiatives.
• Complete accurate intraoperative documentation and support efficient turnover to ensure readiness for subsequent cases.

Registered Nurse - OR, travel assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. Start date November 23, 2026 for a 13-week assignment. Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3x12). Weekly pay range: $2,860–$3,061 per week. Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly. Work setting: hospital operating room with potential to float to related OR units as needed. This is a travel temporary assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate a broad range of operative cases, including general surgery, robotics, kidney transplant, orthopedics, neuro, spine, ENT, GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma
• Maintain sterile technique, instrument counts, specimen handling, and room turnover; assist the surgical team and anesthesia as needed
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage equipment and devices, and communicate patient needs and safety concerns to the team
• Collaborate with surgeons, residents, and ancillary staff to optimize workflow and patient outcomes; participate in safety and quality initiatives
• Complete accurate intraoperative documentation and support efficient turnover to ensure readiness for subsequent cases

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license (or eligible) and in good standing
• BLS certification
• OR nursing experience with neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant experience required
• Ability to scrub and/or circulate across multiple surgical specialties per unit needs
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment site (no local travelers accepted)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to unit float as needed
