JOB DESCRIPTION

Department : OP INFUSION

Shift Timing : 08 : 00 - 14 : 30 Hours Monday through Thursday

Per week : 32 hour

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans.

Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

BLS and ACLS

National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

The ability to stand for extended periods.

Strong technical skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology

Passionate about patient care

Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Renal Oncology experience.

Graduate from a fully accredited RN program

One year of Epic / Cerner experience

Must have and maintain current licensure in the State of Rhode Island.

Maintains CPR and any other credentials or certifications necessary to be competent as a Registered Nurse

An area of specialty, including knowledge and skills necessary to treat, assess and care for young adult, adult and geriatric patients in area of specialty.

Must have Oncology Nursing Society Certification within one year and maintain this certification.

Must be proficient in the English language.

Multistate or RI nursing license required

BLS / ACLS required

Infusion experience required

Current Fundamentals of Chemotherapy / Biotherapy administration required
