Requirements include Kansas RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and recent L&D experience. Acute care setting; may float to MS and care for pediatric patients during shifts.

• Assist with cesarean or vaginal births and newborn stabilization.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia, lactation consultants; document in EHR.

Overview

Registered Nurse – L&D, travel assignment in Dundee, KS. Start date 10/18/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,429–$2,557 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts. Setting: short-term acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct obstetric nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including initial assessments, ongoing monitoring, and intervention during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate, interpret fetal monitoring, and administer prescribed medications and analgesia
• Support labor and delivery procedures, assist with cesarean or vaginal births, and provide newborn care and stabilization as needed
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia, lactation consultants, and other members of the care team; document care and progress in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, postpartum recovery, red flags, and discharge instructions; coordinate discharge planning and follow-up as appropriate
• Will float to the medical-surgical unit as needed for overflow and may be asked to care for pediatric patients during assigned shifts

Requirements

• Current RN license in Kansas
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) completed within the past 24 months; must be fully committed to obtaining PALS prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experienceEPIC experience highly preferred
• Willingness to float to MS and care for pediatric patients
• Ability to work nights; weekends and holidays in rotation
• Orientation: virtual orientation on Monday; credentials due one week prior to start
