Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for CVICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications, and respond to clinical changes promptly
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across multiple levels, ensuring appropriate delegation and supervision
• Coordinate care with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes
• Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to prioritize needs and ensure patient safety

Requirements

• Active California RN license (or eligible recognition for practice in California)
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Recent ICU/critical care experience preferred; CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work nights and the 36-hour weekly schedule
• Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment
