Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Telemetry float pool in Liberty, Missouri, for a 13-week travel assignment. You will provide direct telemetry care, monitor rhythms, and float to multiple units during 12-hour night shifts.

This role includes orientation, EMR training, and collaboration with the care team; travel support is provided, with biweekly payroll and on-site hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri.
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS; TNCC required only if ICU candidate.
• Telemetry experience required; progressive care/step-down and ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to telemetry patients, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of findings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize abnormal patterns, and respond to rhythm changes per protocol; administer medications as ordered and manage IV therapies as needed.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans; communicate changes in patient status to physicians and unit staff.
• Float to assigned units based on skillset; complete unit orientation and computerized charting prior to patient care; document in the EMR (Altera Sunrise) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control, medication safety, and fall-prevention protocols; provide patient and family education as appropriate.
• Maintain readiness for escalation of care, participate in shift handoffs, and support a fast-paced telemetry environment.

Shifts are 12-hour Nights (3x12), and the setting is a hospital-based TeleFloat Pool. The assignment uses the Altera Sunrise EMR (Allscripts) with orientation and unit-specific training included. Orientation is scheduled across multiple days, including an initial session at a regional campus and subsequent unit-based clinical orientation, with computer training before returning to the floor.

Requirements

• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float to multiple units as needed
• Graduation from an approved nursing program with RN licensure; ability to work in a hospital setting
• EMR experience: training provided; prior Altera Sunrise experience not required

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure; completion of an approved nursing program
