Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse for outpatient ambulatory care in Juneau, Alaska. This travel assignment runs 19 weeks starting 11/02/2026, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week and a weekly pay range of $2,797 to $2,962.

Shifts are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You'll support providers and staff in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment and perform a range of clinical nursing duties in the ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Current full, unrestricted RN license in Alaska (or another U.S. state) with active license at time of submittal.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of primary care experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proof of influenza vaccination required.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing care in the outpatient ambulatory setting, collaborating with providers and staff to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.
• Perform triage, patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing with proper quality controls.
• Support clinic operations including patient flow and the opening/closing of provider service areas to maintain efficient workflow.
• Maintain medication inventory and essential supplies not listed in centralized inventory systems; report safety hazards and equipment issues.
• Document all care and services accurately in the patient record; complete nursing duties professionally and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and participate in ongoing staff education and in-service activities as assigned.
