• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members.
• Install rigging from steel members to the hoist hook and secure with slings, ropes or chains.
• Signal hoisting operator to lift and place steel members.
• Guide members into position from ladders, scaffolds or lifts.
• Move steel members into final position using hand tools and proper pins.
• Weld and cut steel as needed to modify structures.
• Work with a crew on construction projects.
