Job summary

SJ Hamill Construction Company, LLC is seeking a hands-on construction helper to support field operations on marine and heavy civil projects. You will assist with pile driving, rigging, and equipment tasks, while prioritizing safety and adherence to project plans.

Ideal candidates have construction or rigging experience, are dependable, and capable of traveling to various project locations. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Prior Construction and rigging experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Understand construction safety standards and work safely.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work out of town and travel to project locations.
• Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of marine and heavy civil construction, including pile driving, formwork, concrete placement, rigging, and equipment support.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and tools as directed.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Support barge work, lifting operations, and other marine-based tasks.
• Follow directions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople to complete tasks according to project plans and specifications.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures while on-site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
