Job summary

Venterra Realty is seeking a Low-Voltage Field Engineering Technician to join our engineering team at the corporate office in Houston. This onsite role covers installation, commissioning, testing, and servicing surveillance cameras, access control, IoT devices, and related low-voltage systems across Venterra communities.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on field experience, strong diagnostic skills with multimeters, and the ability to work independently with occasional travel

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on field experience in low-voltage systems.
• Experience with surveillance, access control, or building automation.
• Proficient with a multimeter and electrical diagnostic tools.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Willingness to relocate to Houston, TX area.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, troubleshoot, and service low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose wiring, power-supply, and equipment issues with meters.
• Conduct site audits and assist with system designs for installations.
• Provide remote and onsite field support to maintenance teams.
• Support due diligence and onboarding for new communities.
