ProAutomated Inc. is seeking curious, adaptable problem-solvers for a travel-focused field engineering role in the United States.

You’ll support data center startups, perform on-site electrical, mechanical, and control checks, and collaborate with integrators and manufacturers to ensure systems work flawlessly. Starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 per year, with per diem, mileage reimbursement, and performance-based raises.

Qualifications

• Must have a technical degree or 3+ years hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
• Willingness to travel across North America; comfortable being away from home on rotation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; adaptable to changing plans.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups by performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test and troubleshoot on-site.
• Provide clear updates to customers and project teams to keep progress on track.
• Follow defined travel rotations (e.g., 5 on/2 off, 10 on/4 off, 14 on/7 off).
• Work with diverse customers and gain real-world experience while supported by ProAutomated team.
