Job summary

ProAutomated is seeking travel-ready engineers to join its growing field team. You will support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, lead startup and acceptance testing for warehouse and manufacturing systems, and collaborate with engineers to validate systems at customer sites.

Expect extensive travel across North America, with rotations and a robust training program.

Qualifications

• Must love travel and be willing to be away from home on rotation.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and networking is preferred.
• Adaptability and grit to handle changing plans and challenges.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.
• Must live within 50 miles of a major airport; relocation assistance available.
• Personal vehicle within 45 days of employment for local projects.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test and troubleshoot on-site.
• Provide clear updates to customers and project teams.
• Travel with rotating schedules: 5 on/2 off, 10 on/4 off, or 14 on/7 off.
