Job summary

Carter Machinery is seeking a Commissioning Manager to coordinate the installation and startup of equipment at project sites in Jackson, Mississippi. You will work closely with Project Managers and customers, inspecting sites, preparing reports, and guiding technicians through startup processes.

Ideal candidates will have at least three years in construction management, the ability to read diagrams, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple start-up sites simultaneously.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and layout drawings.
• Understand submittals and specifications and respond to questions.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and end users.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate job site installation and startup of equipment.
• Perform site inspections and prepare reports.
• Interface with contractors and customers during start-up.
• Guide CMCo technicians on site during installation and startup.
• Travel as required to meet customer needs and project schedules.
