Job summary

TNAA TotalMed Allied seeks a Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Tucson, AZ. This 13-week engagement runs 40 hours per week, with 10-hour evenings shifts, requiring ARRT certification and BLS, plus state licensing as needed.

You will operate diagnostic imaging equipment, position patients, protect against radiation, and ensure accurate image delivery to physicians. The role emphasizes patient interaction, safety protocols, and reliable PACS workflow using McKesson PACS.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Any additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients.
• Follow physician orders for imaging areas.
• Position patients and adjust equipment to correct positions.
• Minimize radiation exposure through proper protection precautions.
• Calibrate imaging equipment.
• Prepare results for physician review.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
