Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a hospital-based diagnostic imaging role in Elizabethtown, KY. The position requires ARRT certification, JRCERT-accredited education, and Kentucky licensure as applicable.

Position includes full-service imaging in a 300-bed hospital with 24/7 staffing across modalities. Day shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 40 hours weekly. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program.
• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Technology Program.
• Active ARRT Certification required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform general X-rays, fluoroscopy and other radiographic examinations per physician orders and protocols.
• Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Apply ALARA guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Review images for quality and perform basic image processing (cropping, collimation, annotation).
• Conduct quality control tests on radiographic equipment for regulatory compliance.
• Document exam details and findings in EMR/RIS.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain infection control protocols and a clean radiology suite environment.

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a hospital-based diagnostic imaging role requiring ARRT certification and JRCERT-accredited education.

Details

• Full-service imaging department in a 300-bed hospital serving inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients
• Equipment includes Siemens (majority of modalities) and GE (Ultrasound)
• Uses AGFA PACS and Epic RIS
• Department provides 24/7 staffing coverage across all modalities
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Requirements

• Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program required
• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Technology Program required
• Military training graduates accepted if validated by active ARRT Certification
• Active ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required, if applicable
• No prior experience required, though hospital or medical imaging facility experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and radiation safety practices required

The $2,366 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
