Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Oklahoma City, OK. The role requires 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience, ARRT (R) and BLS certification, and state licensing as needed.

The position runs 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, 10-hour days, and travel employment. The Rad Tech will operate imaging equipment, ensure image quality for physician interpretation, and care for patients during radiologic testing.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of radiology experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state licensing when required.
• Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients undergoing radiologic testing and explain procedures to patients.
• Position patients and adjust imaging equipment for proper images.
• Follow physician orders on imaging areas and protect against radiation exposure.
• Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use the McKesson PACS system.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Oklahoma City, OK. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

Tasks

As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
