Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Radiology Technologist for an immediate travel opening in Omaha, NE. The role requires ARRT (R) certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. You will operate imaging equipment, position patients, and ensure quality images for physician interpretation.

This travel assignment spans 13 weeks with 40 hours per week in a 10-hour day shift. Prior PACS experience and attention to safety protocols are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• State licensing as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and ensure image quality for interpretation.

• Maintain patient records and prepare results for physicians.
• Familiarity with PACS systems and imaging order workflows.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Omaha, NE. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

Tasks

As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
