Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Oklahoma City, OK. This role requires 1 year of experience, ARRT(R), BLS, and state-specific licensure as needed.

Responsibilities include patient prep, positioning, radiation protection, equipment calibration, PACS usage (McKesson), and documentation. Travel status and 12-hour night shifts are described in the posting.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Oklahoma City, OK. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
