Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with ARRT.
• State licensed as a general radiographer required.
• Proficiency in various echocardiographic and radiographic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely diagnostic services to inpatients and outpatients.
• Conduct procedures including fluoroscopy and portable imaging.
• Assist Radiologist during procedures, following departmental protocols.

Position: CHS Travel: Echocardiology Technician / Radiology (898839)

Position Overview:

The Echo traveler for NMC must be proficient in the following procedures:

1. Adult 2D echo
   
   • with contrast agent
   • bubble study
   • Post cardiac cath
   • Post surgical echo
   • Assessment of pericardial effusion
   • Pericardiocentesis imaging
   • Calculating LV and RV strain
   • Diastology with TDI
   • PISA calculations
   • Biplane measurements for EF
2. Treadmill stress echo: setup, resting and stress imaging
3. Dobutamine stress echo: setup, resting and stress imaging
4. Transesophageal Echo (TEE): setup, image acquisition, physician assistance

The Radiology Technologist is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). The technologist maintains a state license as a general radiographer and provides timely diagnostic services to inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of a Radiologist, following departmental protocols. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, OR imaging services, and routine procedures.
