Responsibilities
- Perform specialized mammography examinations, including screening and diagnostic imaging, using dedicated mammography equipment.
- Ensure patient positioning, compression, radiation safety, and image quality; follow MQSA guidelines and department protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to obtain diagnostic-quality images; review images for artifacts and adjust technique as needed.
- Maintain patient comfort and privacy; communicate procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced setting.
- Document imaging studies accurately; ensure complete study sets and proper data entry for interpretation.
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment, monitor for proper function, and report any equipment issues promptly.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license in Oregon or eligibility to obtain one
- Mammography certification (MQSA) or ARRT Mammography certification
- Prior mammography or related radiology experience preferred
- Ability to work in a busy imaging department and deliver accurate, patient-centered care
- Willingness to travel and commit to a 13-week assignment beginning 10/19/2026
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; compliance with safety and privacy standards
