Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced X-ray Technician for a radiology contract. The role requires ARRT (R) certification, 2+ years of radiology experience in Surgery, GI, ER, or General X-ray, and IEMA license if applicable. Epic EMR proficiency is expected.

The position offers day shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), 40 hours weekly, and every-other-weekend availability with no on-call requirements. Local candidates qualify at the same rate, with travel staff needing 12 months away before

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in Surgery, GI, ER, or General X-ray required; 4+ years preferred
ARRT (R) certification required
IEMA license required if applicable
BLS certification required (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
New graduates will not be considered

Responsibilities

Day shift, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
40 hours per week
Every other weekend required
No floating or on-call requirements
No holiday coverage required
Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
RTO for 13-week contracts limited to a maximum of 7 days
Facility conducts a brief interview, typically 10-15 minutes, prior to placement
