Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images and position patients.
• Review orders, verify accuracy, coordinate with Central Scheduling, enter data into Meditech.
• Administer contrast per protocol, monitor for adverse reactions, ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Position patients and adjust technique to ensure diagnostic-quality images; verify demographics and measurements on final sheets.
• Maintain equipment and safety, follow radiation safety practices and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinicians for timely, accurate interpretations.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images, position patients, and select appropriate technical factors to optimize diagnostic quality
• Review physician orders for accuracy, document order verification, and ensure the correct examination is performed; coordinate with Central Scheduling and enter data into the Meditech system
• Administer contrast materials per protocol, monitor for adverse reactions, and ensure patient safety and privacy throughout the exam
• Properly position patients and adjust technique to ensure diagnostic-quality images; verify all required measurements, demographics, and anatomical information are included on final data sheets
• Maintain equipment and work area safety, follow radiation safety practices, and comply with regulatory and accreditation standards
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to ensure appropriate exams and timely, accurate interpretations

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology
• Licenses: MA DPH Radiology License required
• Certifications: ARRT (CT) required within two years of hire; ARRT (CT) preferred; ARRT (R) preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year CT; previous CT scan procedures experience preferred or equivalent as determined by the Department Manager
• Additional: Ability to work in a hospital setting and comply with rotating shift schedules (days, evenings, weekends)
