Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a Travel Radiologic Technologist for a 12-week assignment in Downers Grove, Illinois. The role is 40 hours per week with an evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and includes possible float to nearby Advocate facilities.

You will perform general x-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, assist with OR imaging, and work under Radiology leadership. ARRT and BLS are required, with IEMA state licensure. Previous travel experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• General x-ray and fluoroscopy capabilities required.
• ARRT certification and BLS required; IEMA state license.
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience for travel assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead tech during day shift and assist evening shift as needed.
• Radiology transporter responsibilities and patient flow support.
• Coordinate with radiologists offsite and transfer to third parties when needed.
• Assist other radiology staff and participate in on-call coverage as required.

Unit Information

• Beds: 6: 2 fluoro, U-arm, 3 plain films
• Census: Average patients/day: Busy! Level I

Minimum Years of Experience required: 1-year acute care experience

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes, but prefer travel experience

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses

• NICU through geriatric patients
• Anything for normal Level 1 – trauma, extremities, etc.

• OR – c-arm, o-arm, and Nav. Neuro, spinal, ortho.

Support within the Department

• Lead Tech during the day, charge for 2 nd shift
• Radiology Transporter
• Radiologist offsite 2200. At 2300, will transfer to 3 rd party
• Other rad techs in department
• Manager/Supervisor during weekdays
• Rapid Response/Code Team

• Unit specific equipment: Client OEC c-arm, Shimadzu portables

Floating

• Possible to float to Advocate facilities within 30-minute range

• 1-2 shifts of department orientation

Scheduling

• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
• On call: No
• Holiday Expectations: 1 holiday per contract
• Approval of RTO: to go through manager
• Shift times: dependent on requisition
• Schedule cycle: Schedule made in one-month increments
