Job Summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a Travel Radiology Technologist for a 9‑week assignment at a facility in Springfield, Illinois.

Required Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Current Radiologic Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Current ARRT Certification
• Other relevant certifications and licenses may be required

Essential Work Functions

• Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questions
• Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high‑quality images per physician orders
• Maintain equipment and sterilize the procedure room
• Evaluate images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and health‑care team
• Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshoot issues, and report malfunctions as needed
• Document all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient records
• Follow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocols
• Perform other duties within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practice

Required Essential Skills

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical: must remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
• Interpersonal: work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude and professionalism
• Technical/Motor: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move equipment during procedures
• Mental: cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain continuous concentration to detail
• Sensory: possess visual acuity and effective communication
