Job summary

Healthforce in Boston, MA is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment starting 11/16/2026. You will work 40 guaranteed hours per week with 8-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include operating a TrueBeam, performing QA checks, and image-guided therapy, plus patient setup, documentation, and teamwork with oncologists and physicists. MA license and BLS required; ARIA/OSMS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts license to practice radiation therapy (MA License).
• BLS certification.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar radiation therapy setting.
• TrueBeam experience required.
• ARIA and OSMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders and treatment plans.
• Operate and calibrate a TrueBeam linear accelerator; perform daily quality assurance checks and implement image-guided radiation therapy techniques per protocol.
• Set up and position patients using immobilization devices; verify patient identity; align treatment fields and imaging; document treatment delivery details.
• Maintain accurate treatment documentation in the electronic medical record; communicate changes to the care team; participate in chart reviews and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and therapists to ensure safe, precise treatment delivery.
• Monitor patients during and after therapy sessions for comfort and potential adverse effects; provide patient and family education on the treatment process and expected side effects.
• Uphold radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory standards; participate in safety initiatives and departmental protocols.
