Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with MA state license and ARRT certification for a long-term assignment in a hospital Radiation Oncology department. The position requires an 8:00am-4:30pm schedule (13 weeks), 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy is required.
  • Massachusetts state license required (CT license may also apply).
  • Ability to safely administer high doses of ionizing radiation under supervision.
  • Skilled in acquiring and analyzing data for patient treatment preparation.
  • Experience using imaging technologies for treatment area localization.
  • Strong patient assessment, monitoring, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology-Medical Physics department at a cancer care center.
  • 13-week assignment with AM shift, 8:00am-4:30pm, 5x8s, 40 hrs/week.
  • Candidate must be flexible and willing to adjust hours to support business operations.
  • No on-call requirements.
  • Participate in treatment planning as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
  • Serve as primary liaison between patients and the radiation oncology team.
  • Collaborate with social work and dietitians.
  • Adhere to professional standards, ethics, and governing policies.
