Job summary

Healthforce Healthcare LLC is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment in Lodi, California. The 13‑week role starts 11/01/2026, offering 40 hours per week on a 5x8 shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) in a short term acute care hospital setting.

The position requires active California radiologic technology licensure, AART‑T and RTT certifications, and BLS ( CPR or BLS preferred). Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology is required; Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold current California licensure to practice radiologic technology.
• AART-T certification is required for Radiation Therapy.
• RTT certification is required.
• BLS certification is required; CPR or BLS preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed ionizing radiation per treatment plan, verifying prescription, diagnosis chart, and patient identification.
• Prepare the treatment room and equipment, including immobilization devices, and assist with patient positioning on the treatment couch.
• Deliver the prescribed daily dose while observing radiation safety measures for patient and staff.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain clear communication during treatment.
• Monitor patients for unusual reactions or evolving complications, and document findings; report reactions to the supervisor and department physician.
• Maintain daily treatment logs and patient charts, ensuring accuracy of records and related reports; participate in clinical supervision and evaluation of students when applicable.

Requirements

• Current California licensure to practice radiologic technology; CA licensure required
• AART-T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy) – Required
• RTT certification – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required; CPR certification or BLS – Preferred
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; Master’s Degree – Preferred
• Experience: At least two years of recent radiologic technology experience
• Current nursing license per the state of assignment (as referenced in the job notes)
• Ability to work a travel assignment in the listed location and shift
