Job summary

Intertek in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Pump Inspector to perform vendor inspections and audits at client facilities or vendor shops. The role requires extensive QA/qc experience, NDT and coating inspections, and heavy travel (up to 75%).

The position is a casual, part-time opportunity paying $40–$52 per hour, with on-site duties and the need to review test reports, ensure compliance with specs, and document activities using IT systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or technical training completed.
• 5+ years of third-party vendor inspection, expediting or auditing experience.
• Experience in quality control inspections and tests including NDT, mechanical testing, dimensional inspection, pressure testing and coating inspections.
• Technical training in quality, NDT, blueprint reading, industry standards, auditing, expediting, materials, welding, coatings, electrical components, instrumentation and pressure testing.
• Must have experience with Mechanical/Pressure Vessels and lifting equipment.
• Basic knowledge of material properties and procurement/fabrication processes for oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections or audits and review testing for conformance to client specifications and procedures.
• Review material test reports for conformance to applicable codes and standards.
• Follow up on dispositions and corrective actions related to non-conformances.
• Document inspection activities in electronic formats.
• Ensure project quality procedures are followed by engineering, procurement and manufacturing teams.
• Review Inspection & Testing Plans to ensure surveillance levels meet contractual requirements.
• Carry out inspection visits as per ITPs, either personally or via 3rd-party resources.
