Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week travel assignment in Sonora, California. You will support a Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain while ensuring patient safety and progress in diverse clinical settings.

The role requires a valid PTA license in California and current BLS certification. Preferred candidates include graduates from accredited PTA programs and those with PTA experience; new

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in California
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program
• PTA experience preferred; new grads are welcome
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

• Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring devices and supplies are ready for sessions
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and transfers with hands-on assistance
• Observe patient performance and report progress or concerns to the supervising PT
• Accurately record patient treatment details in the medical record
• Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety
• Coordinate with therapists and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and regulatory standards
• Engage in quality assurance and professional development
