Job summary

Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in Macon, Georgia. The PTA will support physical therapy services, educate patients, and collaborate with the healthcare team to promote safety and quality care.

Position details include 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week, 13 weeks duration, and travel benefits. Requires valid PTA license in state and BLS certification, with at least 2 years bedside experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening, endurance and cardiac training, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, pain relief, functional skills, and community re-entry training.
• Provide mobility training using orthotics, prosthetics, canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs; demonstrate guarding and safety techniques; monitor patient responses; document progress and education.
• Train caregivers in mobility, transfers, positioning, and exercise; participate in team conferences and continuing education; maintain treatment areas and equipment.
