Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a 13-week contract in Macon, Georgia. The PTA will support a Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered rehabilitation services during the day shift, including therapeutic exercises and functional training.

The role requires a valid PTA license, BLS certification, and ideally two years of bedside experience. The assignment is in a hospital setting with standard infection control practices and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license in the relevant state.
• BLS certification required.
• Two years of bedside experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals and plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, and functional skills training.
• Train patients on the use of orthotics and assistive devices, ensuring safety during locomotion.
• Utilize various modalities including hot/cold packs and ultrasound as directed.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and report any issues promptly.
• Document patient progress and family education weekly.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in continuing education and provide in-service training for peers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment area by adhering to infection control policies.

Job Description
