Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in Mitchell, SD. The PTA will work under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, improve mobility, reduce pain, and support overall patient independence in various settings.

Required are a valid PTA license and current BLS certification. Preferred are a PTA program graduate and prior PTA experience; new grads are welcome. Comprehensive benefits accompany this travel opportunity.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring devices and supplies are ready for sessions.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and transfers with hands-on assistance.
• Observe and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Record patient treatment details and progress accurately in the medical record.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs and use of assistive devices.
