Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in Groton, SD. You will work under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance independence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required for patient care.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring devices and supplies are ready for sessions.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and assisting with movements and transfers.
• Record patient progress and treatment details in the medical record.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe mobility.
• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, and other health professionals to coordinate care.
