Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a Long Term Care facility in Massachusetts. The assignment is 13 weeks, with 35 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, and no weekends or on-call requirements. New grads may apply if Level II fieldwork is completed.

Requirements include active PTA license, at least 1 year of PTA experience in LTC/rehab, and one reference. Benefits include housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, and per diem where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license required if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience.
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required.
• New grads accepted if Level II fieldwork completed (Level I observation not accepted).
• 1 reference required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under the supervision of a PT.
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans with supervising PT.
• Document all treatment information per regulatory requirements.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehab meetings.
• Support and supervise students under supervising PT.
• Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts.
