Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel LTAC assignment in Wyncote, PA. The role involves supporting a licensed physical therapist to implement patient rehab plans, with duties including exercises, gait training, and progress documentation.

Shift is 5x8 hours (08:00–16:30), 35 hours per week, for a 13-week contract starting 11/02/2026. PA licensure or eligibility is required; LTAC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Pennsylvania or eligible.
• Experience or interest in LTAC or skilled nursing settings preferred.
• Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA support under supervision of a licensed physical therapist to plan and implement rehabilitation programs.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, ROM, and modalities as directed.
• Monitor patient progress, document findings, and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team.
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and proper use of equipment; educate patients and families on therapy goals and home programs.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning.
