Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Waldorf, Maryland. The PTA will work under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans aimed at improving mobility and reducing pain while documenting progress and educating patients on home programs.

Required are PTA licensure and BLS certification; preferred are graduation from an accredited PTA program and flexibility for new grads.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• English language proficiency for documentation and patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist PTAs under supervision to implement treatment plans and improve mobility.
• Document patient progress and update medical records accurately.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.
• Collaborate with therapists and healthcare team for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain a safe, clean treatment environment and adhere to protocols.
