Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in Webster, MA. This 13-week contract begins 10/05/2026 and provides weekly pay. The role is in a long-term care facility and operates under supervision by a licensed Physical Therapist.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited PTA program with MA licensure and some SNF/geriatric experience, plus strong communication and documentation skills. Travel support and credentialing assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA license in Massachusetts.
• Prior SNF or geriatric experience preferred; strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PT treatment plans under supervision to address residents’ mobility, strength, and balance.
• Deliver direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities.
• Observe resident responses and report progress to supervising PT.
• Assist with resident assessments and contribute to documentation and care planning.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and techniques for safety and carryover outside sessions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and proper use of equipment.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support coordinated resident care.
• Adhere to state, federal, and facility regulations and professional standards.
• Uphold licensure and continuing education requirements.
