Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel LTAC assignment in Gallup, NM. The position starts 10/26/2026 for 13 weeks, offering weekly pay and guaranteed hours of 35, with a 5x8 day shift from 08:00 to 16:30 in a Skilled Nursing Facility LTAC setting.

Required are an active NM PTA license (or eligibility), CPR/BLS, and an associate degree in PTA; travel LTAC or skilled nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in NM or eligibility.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• 1 year PTA or LTAC/skilled nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under supervision of a PT in LTAC/skilled nursing setting.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans with therapeutic exercises and mobility activities.
• Assist with transfers and ADLs to promote independence.
• Document patient responses and outcomes; communicate with PT and team.
• Prepare treatment spaces and maintain infection control.
• Ensure safety and collaborate with nursing and therapy staff.
