Job summary
Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract assignment. The PTA works under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist to improve mobility and relieve pain following physician orders.
Treatments include massages, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and other therapies as assigned. The candidate must hold an Associate degree, be licensed or actively pursuing licensure, and maintain CPR
Qualifications
- Must have an Associate degree from an accredited school.
- Current state licensure or active licensure application as a PTA/Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Current CPR certification.
- Provide skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implement and modify the patient\'s physical therapy plan under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients using physical treatment procedures to improve mobility and relieve pain.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
- Perform therapeutic interventions (e.g., massages, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat/cold packs) as ordered by a physician.
