Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in Yardley, Pennsylvania. The PTA will implement treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance independence.

Responsibilities include guiding exercises, documenting progress, coordinating with a healthcare team, and instructing on home programs. Licensure and BLS are required; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Valid PTA license in PA
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• New grads welcome; experience not required

Responsibilities

• Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring devices and supplies are ready for sessions
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises to improve mobility and strength
• Observe and report changes in function to the supervising PT
• Record patient treatment details in the medical record
• Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety
• Collaborate with therapists and other clinicians to coordinate care
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and safety standards
• Assist with discharge planning to support ongoing recovery
