Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in West Orange, New Jersey. The PT will evaluate and implement a plan of care for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting, supervising PTAs and coordinating with physicians to ensure a team-based approach.

Ideal candidates have 6 months of travel PT experience (1 year preferred) and must hold BLS and state licensing.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for varied patient populations in the acute care setting.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and use of Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
