Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an immediate travel opening in West Des Moines, IA. The PT will evaluate and develop plans of care for acute care patients, supervising PTAs, and coordinating with the Medical Center team.

The position is 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour days. Requirements include 1 year of PT experience (exceptions possible with 6 months), BLS, and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with active credential in Iowa
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 6–12 months experience; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be accepted

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff
• Bill within the respective setting following guidelines
• Adhere to the PT board's rules and state regulations
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-based plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Evaluate and create a plan of care for patients
• Modify plan of care as patient condition changes
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state and payer guidelines
