Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Burlington, IA. This 13-week engagement requires 40 hours per week and days shift; immediate start with 1 year experience preferred, 6 months acceptable for strong backgrounds.

The PT will supervise therapy staff, document according to state guidelines, and collaborate with Medical Center personnel to deliver a coordinated plan of care while maintaining compliance and quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand/walk long periods and bend or stoop as needed.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines.
• Adhere to PT board rules and state regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians for care plans.
• Understand adaptive equipment and applicability to patients.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care for patients.
• Modify plan of care based on patient condition.
• Document timely and accurately per state/insurance guidelines.
