Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Psychiatric RN for a 13-week acute inpatient assignment requiring 2+ years of acute/inpatient psych experience and a ND or compact RN license.

Position includes 12-hour shifts (7a-7p, 7p-7a, 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a) with self-scheduling, no on-call, and 50+ miles residence requirement; opportunities to work with adolescent and adult populations using EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Active ND state or compact RN license required.
• 2+ years of acute/inpatient or state hospital experience.
• Strong de-escalation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in an acute psychiatric unit with 12-hour shifts.
• Self-schedule shifts and manage 1:1 patient observation when needed.
• Collaborate with mental health team and use EPIC EMR for documentation.
