Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing assignment in Bangor, Maine. This 13-week contract requires a RN license, BLS, and 18 months of acute care psychiatric experience.

The role features a 40-hour workweek with evenings, a travel-friendly package, and housing options provided by MedPro. Start date is 10/12/2026, and the engagement is travel-based with potential client facility requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN License required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Psychiatric setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess the mental health status of patients with behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with medical providers and mental health staff in care delivery.
• Administer and monitor psychotropic medications.
• Assist patients and families to interpret and manage behaviors and plan healthy lifestyle changes.
• Exercise balanced judgment in evaluation and decisions with difficult situations.
