Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to support delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN conducts patient assessments, coordinates individualized plans of care, supports interdisciplinary communication, and provides direction and supervision to licensed and unlicensed ancillary nursing personnel as well as orientees. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Additional responsibilities include nursing assessment within 8 hours of admission; initiating discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission; ensuring accurate, succinct, and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses; providing direction, training, and supervision of nursing personnel; may assume charge responsibility following orientation; prioritizing professional growth and supporting a safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Progressive Care Unit/PCU-related nursing competencies to perform job functions in accordance with population served criteria.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification as required prior to first shift.
