Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Preoperative travel nurse (RN) for a 16-week assignment in Canton, Georgia. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and RN licensure. Assignments include pre-surgery medications, admission evaluation, and coordination of care with the patient and interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• RN licensure (RN) is required to practice.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer pre-surgery medications as needed.
• Evaluate admission documents and identify emergency procedures.
• Coordinate nursing care and develop plan of care with patient/family.
• Provide basic bedside care and IV therapy; manage supplies and equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
