Job summary

TotalMed RN in Canton, GA is seeking a Preoperative Travel Nurse (RN) for a 16-week assignment. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and includes 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

You will administer preoperative medications, evaluate admissions, and coordinate care with patients and the healthcare team while maintaining supplies and safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS certifications required; 2 years of acute care experience.
• Travel nursing assignment experience is a plus.
• Additional certifications may be required prior to starting an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Administer pre-surgery medications and evaluate admission documents.
• Identify emergency procedures and adhere to pre-operation policies.
• Coordinate nursing care with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Provide basic bedside care and IV therapy; maintain supplies and equipment.
