Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a PreOp RN with CA licensure and admissions experience for a day-shift assignment supporting a busy outpatient clinic.

The role requires an active CA RN license, current BLS/ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years RN experience. Shift is 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with no weekends and on-call as needed, may float to Endo. Benefits include housing allowance and travel/licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Admissions experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• PreOp unit within a clinic setting providing direct and indirect patient care to patients and families.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
• No weekend requirements.
• On-call as needed.
• May be required to float to Endo as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments encompassing physiological, spiritual, and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and mid-level practitioners to coordinate and adjust patient care plans.
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents per physician or provider orders.
• Delegate tasks appropriately based on team members' scope of practice and skill level.
• Provide patient and family education using teach-back methods to ensure understanding.
• Uphold confidentiality of patient health information at all times.
• Support clinic operations including supply ordering, staff orientation, and training.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• Previous employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler.
• Only one holiday will be approved for RTO during the assignment.
