Job summary

Staffmax Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Preoperative for a travel nursing job in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This role requires RN licensure in Wisconsin or a compact license, 3+ years of RN experience, and prior travel nursing exposure.

The travel assignment runs for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, on day shifts, averaging 10 hours per shift. Active BLS and ACLS are required, and NIHSS certification may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin or Compact RN license — pending license accepted at submission.
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification required — may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Experience in pre-op/pre-surgical nursing.
• Experience with pre- and post-procedure care.
• Strong IV-starting and conscious sedation monitoring skills.
• Experience with airway management, dysrhythmia recognition, and 12-lead EKGs.
• Experience supporting procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, EUS/EBUS, and other endoscopic procedures preferred.
• Strong patient assessment, monitoring, documentation, and communication skills.
