Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Post/Pre-Op RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Sitka, AK. You will provide specialized perioperative care, assess patients before and after anesthesia, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safety and comfort throughout recovery.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, patient education, and adherence to regulatory standards in a high-demand travel setting.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a Pre/Post-Op RN.
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsabilités

Assess patients pre-operatively, including reviewing medical history and performing physical examinations.
Prepare patients for surgery, including education about procedures and post-operative care.
Receive and assess patients transferring from the OR and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
Monitor post-operative patients for complications and manage pain and recovery.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records.
